“Am returning to the music industry to re-organize musicians”, Mike Mukula has revealed.
Speaking at his Bugolobi residence, Captain Mike Mukula said as a person who transformed the local music industry by bringing foreign musicians to inspire local artistes, he feels it is time to organize them to manage their fame and how they conduct themselves in public.
“I have been working behind the scenes to promote the late Radio, Weasel and the Goodlyfe crew. I am sorry that because of my busy schedules, I have not been so close to them for the last six month,” he said.
He said he would meet all upcoming musicians this week because entertainment is one of the growing industries in the country.
“Talent is God given and they (musicians) must pass the correct message to young people to inspire them. They should not just pass sexual messages but educative messages; those that encourage young people to work hard,” he said adding that young people should avoid indulging in corrosive behaviour like alcoholism and drug abuse.
Known for his love for music and fashion, George Michael Mukula, commonly known as Mike Mukula, is a politician, professional pilot, and businessman. He represented Soroti Municipality from 2001 to 2016 in the parliament of Uganda. He is a member of the ruling National Resistance Movement and served as state minister of health from 2001 to 2006.
