Kenyan music boy band, Sauti Sol was in Uganda over the weekend for Blankets and wines which took place at Cricket Oval, Lugogo. In an interview, Sauti Sol revealed something about the Uganda music industry.
“It is hard to tell the best Ugandan artiste because there is a lot of good musicians and we fall in love with Ugandan music everyday. Uganda has always had top musicians like Chameleone, Bebe cool who inspired us. There is also a lot of fresh talent on the market who are killing it like Irene Ntale and Sheebah. There are also other talented musicians like Radio & Weasel, Maurice Kirya (we have been friends for quite a long time), and then Navio”, Sauti Sol revealed.
Having collaborated with Bebe Cool on ‘Mbozi za Malwa’, the boy band also revealed something about Uganda’s music;
“Stamina Daddy by Irene Ntale is doing well back home (in Kenya). Nkwatako by Sheebah was and is still so good, and definitely our Collabo with Bebe Cool (Mbozi Za Malwa)”
