Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Batman (Ben Affleck) are going to have a tense meeting in Justice League. A new clip from the film shows how the two first come together, and it looks like it won’t be all sunshine and rainbows right off the bat.
The clip features Bruce Wayne in an isolated, cold village at what appears to be a town meeting. Bruce asks around for “a stranger who comes to this village from the sea,” bringing food for the hungry citizens. As he says this, Arthur Curry stands tensely by, watching to see what the hero wants.
Arthur tries to send him off the trail by saying that there is an iceberg in the harbor, preventing ships from getting in, but Bruce knows that the man he’s looking for doesn’t come by ship. “There are enemies coming from far away,” Bruce says. “I need warriors. I’m building an alliance to defend ourselves.”
Realizing what Bruce wants, Arthur starts to get angry, telling him to get out. “Can you at least point me to Atlantis?” Bruce replies, sarcastically, leading Arthur to pick him up and slam him against the wall. “Arthur Curry,” Bruce says, revealing his intention. “Also known as the protector of the oceans. The Aquaman. I hear you can talk to fish.”
